The Topsail Junior Pirates Executive Board announces that we will continue competing in age-based divisions for the 2022 season. With this, in 2022 comes a slight change in the age based opportunities. The Topsail Junior Pirates expect to form a 6U team for children ages 5-6, an 8U team for children ages 7-8, 10U team for children 8-10, 12U team for children 10-12 and 14U for ages 12-14. Team placement will be determined by the child's age on July 31, 2022. Inclusive birthdays are listed for your convenience:

*If your child is a rising 7th grader with hopes of playing middle school ball, we want to encourage you to still register your child! By signing up with Pop Warner prior to the start of the season, your athlete will still have the option to play whether or not they make the middle school roster. There are limited spaces on the local middle school teams, but we do not want this to limit your child's growth and development on and off the football field!
If you register your child and they make a local middle school team and you no longer wish to have them play Pop Warner ball, we will gladly refund 75% of the registration fee. The nominal 25% balance is an administrative fee that is budgeted for all registrants. However, if your child does make a middle school roster, they are welcome to rejoin their Pop Warner team upon completion of their middle school season, generally allowing for involvement in a few games, to include playoffs. These rules are mandated by Pop Warner at the national level and are strictly adhered to.
